Question: Will jojoba oil clear my acne?

Answer:

Jojoba oil could help control your acne but it is very individual.

The reason why jojoba oil is supposed to be good for acne prone skin is because it is a wax that is very similar in composition to our natural sebum. Therefore, using jojoba oil could restore your natural skin moisture, tricking your skin into thinking there is enough moisture so it won't over produce oil.

Jojoba oil is also slightly astringent, which may be beneficial for those with acne-prone skin. Its astringent quality explains why some people find it to be somewhat drying.

However, whether jojoba oil will clear your skin depends on how your skin reacts to it. Some people can use jojoba oil just fine while others break out from it.

Personally, jojoba oil didn't break me out, but it didn't improve my acne either. I would have kept using it as a moisturizer, but it made my skin feel even drier, so I stopped using it altogether.
